Who this covers

This policy covers Mental Desk, a browser-based arithmetic practice and ranked matchmaking game. It's a small, independently-run project — "we" below means the developer of Mental Desk.

Information we collect

If you sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us. If you choose not to sign in, you can still use Speed Drills — nothing about you is collected or stored.

Once signed in, we store a game profile for you, including:

• Your display name, chosen avatar, and email address
• Age and gender — entirely optional, only if you choose to enter them
• Gameplay data: IQ Score, trophies, league, match history, streaks, and earned banners
• Your friends list and any friend requests you send or receive
• Whether you've opted in to receive occasional emails from Mental Desk

How we use it

• To run your account, save your progress, and show your stats back to you
• To operate ranked matchmaking, leagues, and the friends system
• To personalize aspects of your experience
• If — and only if — you check "Get occasional emails," to contact you directly about Mental Desk. You can turn this off any time from your Profile page.

If you've opted in to emails, the developer may compile an internal list of opted-in users' emails (along with age, gender, and engagement stats like trophies or IQ Score, if provided) for sending those emails. This list is not sold or given to advertisers or other third parties.

What other players can see

Your display name, chosen avatar, trophies, and league are visible to other signed-in users — this is how friend search, friend requests, and the battle log work. Your email, age, and gender are never shown to other players.

Where your data is stored

Everything is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore), a third-party infrastructure provider that hosts and secures the data on our behalf. We don't run our own servers or databases. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

Children's privacy

Mental Desk is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us using the details below and we'll delete it.

Your choices

• You can sign out at any time
• You can change or remove your age, gender, and email opt-in from your Profile page whenever you like
• To request a copy of your data, or to have your account deleted entirely, contact us at the email below

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use Mental Desk after a change means you accept the update.
